Deuteronomy 20:1

You will always see your enemies. Even if you close your eyes over them today, you will open them someday to find that your adversaries are still there. Pretending that those situations are non-existent is to give them room to grow. By so doing, you are like the proverbial ostrich that buries only its head in the sand, thinking that nobody sees it.

Ignoring a problem is not faith, it is foolishness. Faith is looking at an apparently insurmountable problem in the face with the spectacles of Scripture.

God said you will see horses, but you have the choice either to look at the horses or unto Him.“… The Lord thy God is with thee…” He has not left you at the mercy of the Goliaths of life. So, horses and chariots are not to deter you.

When perhaps you see people bigger than you in stature and more than you in number, what are you to do? “Be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee…”

Elisha the prophet understood this principle, so was unmoved and undisturbed when the host of the Syrian army besieged him and his servant. The Scripture says:

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

…And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

2 Kings 6:15-17

Amazing! Instead of looking at the forces that come against you, the Lord says, “Do not be afraid.” Why? It is because His presence will defend you.

It determines what you allow and what you attract.

It is the measure of your part.

It is the key to your destiny.

It is path to your fortune.

Keep it with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.

Saul needed another (different) heart to be able to accommodate his signs and his new status. 1 Samuel 10:9

Don’t let your heart delay your signs. Awaken your heart now!

Possess an enlarged heart, a believing heart, (Luke 1:45), a purified heart an upright heart – 2 Chronicles 16:9

INTRODUCTION

-         You are not created to be roaming about in life. You are designed for a specific placement.

-         Before you were born, he knows you and separated you for a specific good and assignment – Jer 1:5.

-         But your placement in the grand master plan of God is located by vision.

-         The eagle is a visionary bird. An eagle’s vision is said to be eight times stronger than the human vision, as an eagle is able to sight its prey from one mile away.

-         Vision is not an invention, but a discovery of a set plan.

WHAT VISION IS NOT?

1. Ambition – it is self made plan. Ambition is good but don’t mistake

Ambition might not go in line with the leading of God.

Ambition says “I want it by all means” But vision says “I have it because God says it, and I am in His plan”

Ambition is the brother of anxiety, whereas vision is a relative of peace – Ps 85:8

1. Impression – this is not vision. This is being carried away in one’s thoughts about what one likes.

1. Imagination – This is not vision but it is powerful. The word imagination is derived from the word image, which also means shadows. Imagination is the act of image formation. It is very powerful, but destructive when not property handled.

The Holy Spirit is the womb and mother of vision. Joel 2:28.

Vision are meet for only spiritual people

VITAL FORCES TO CATCH VISION

1. Be a man of the word.
2. Be a man of the spirit always – Rev 1:10

Intro: Faith is an ever winning force. Faith is the hand work of our destiny – Eph 6:16

When you put your faith to work, Satan’s hold on to himself and your victory comes alive – 1 Tim 6:12

Faith is the supernatural force that dislodges the kingdom of darkness and delivers to you your desire miracles – Luk 5:4-7, Jn 2:1-11.

Faith is a living force empowered by the living word which produces living proofs – E.g the gift of healing which is the supernatural ability to provoke the healing power of the Holy Spirit for all manner of sickness and disease – 1 Cor 12:9, Rom 8:11.

 WHAT IS FAITH?

The journey of faith is a journey of obeying God.\faith is not just believing God, but obeying God to prove that you believe Him, in order to commit Him to make good his promise. It is doing what God says that makes you to possess what he has promised.

-         Confession is all about speaking while profession is the manifestation or demonstration of faith.

-         Therefore faith is the combination of the practice and confession of faith which result in our possession.

-         What you say determines what you see. Until you say it, you are not permitted to see it.

IMPORTANCE OF FAITH

1. We are born again by faith – Eph 2:8
2. By faith we stand – 2 Cor 1:24
3. By Faith we walk – 2 Cor 5:7
4. We are kept by faith – 1 Pet 1:5
5. We are healed by faith – Matt 9:27-29
6. We overcome by faith – 1 John 5:4
7. We command exploit by faith – Heb 11:23
8. Above all, we live by faith – Heb 10:38

Conclusion: Faith’s only source is by hearing the word of God. Faith is not a cheap talk but it is hard work – Rom 10:12

MEMORY VERSE “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” – Rom 1:17 

Strength display in the open has its root in quietness.

Anyone who desires to become a voice in the public, must necessarily practice quietness. It is in quietness that oracles are born.

It is very cheap to be an orator but orators don�t make impact, it is in quietness that God touches your tongue to touch people�s lives.

In quietness you envision, imagine and picture the coming of your answers.

In quietness we meet with God who empowers us to confront opposition outside.

In quietness we access His voice which enables us to silence every of the enemy outside.

SPIRIT OF GOD & SPIRIT OF MAN

The spirit of God works via the spirit of man.

Man’s spirit is the primary dwelling place for God’s spirit.

In the beginning God’s spirit was literarily poured into man’s spirit.

Man became a living entity at the instance of the outpouring of God’s spirit. Gen 2:7, 8.

Man’s spirit assumes perfection as he assesses the fullness of God’s spirit. Heb 12:23.

In the process of time a man’s spirit can be developed to a point where it becomes a custodian and communicator of the spirit to others.

God is the source but man is the store house where it is distributed to those in need of it. God owns the spirit but he has made man the custodian of it.

So receiving a man who carries the spirit of God within Him is literarily receiving the spirit of God.

Moses transferred His spirit to Joshua at God’s command. Num. 27:18, Deut 34:9.

So also was Elijah’s spirit transferred to Elisha to such level of visible manifestation! The observers noted that the spirit of Elijah doth rest upon him.

II Kings 2:9, 15.

Earlier Elisha had requested that the spirit of Elijah would rest upon him in a double fold. II Kings 2:9.

Jesus breathed upon his disciple his spirit, John 20:22. Similarly, Paul transmitted his spirit to Timothy his son. II Tim 1:6, 7.

God remains the source but His appointed and anointed men are raised as service stations and distribution centers having been tested, prepared and proven for his purpose.

Redemption is restoration.

Jesus saved us to restore us back to dignity.

He can’t save you and you remain sick.

He paid the price in the same package.

He saved you and healed you.

If you don’t remain in sin, sickness has no right to remain in you.

Depart from sin and sickness must depart from you.

Sickness can not be part of you if you depart from sin.

Sickness must go when you let go of sin.

That’s why Jesus said, go and sin no more.

If you sin no more, then sickness will remain no more.

The power of sickness has its root in sin and because sin is destroyed sickness is destroyed.

The word of God can be likened to rain that comes poring down from heaven. It is God’s major way of ending the drought in a man’s life. When the word is received and applied, no matter how harsh the climate, results are inevitable. Responding to the word is the only way to end the dry seasons in your life.
